Oruunians call the living rim around the opening the life-ring. It shapes clothing, architecture, religion, etiquette, medicine, heraldry and the national sport.

Aran XVI has led Oruun since 2018. He is known for the Open Crown policy, international harbour reform and refusing to cover his crown opening even in heavy rain.
Two faiths
The Light-Passers revere the open space; the Ring-Guardians revere the living ring that gives it form. Their fiercest disputes are settled on the sports field.
Ringflight
Six-player teams pass a hollow whistling ball through vertical goals. A voluntary pass through a player’s crown opening creates a three-point scoring opportunity.
History
Oruun records more than six thousand years of ring settlements, corporate coronations, stadium truces, wind towers and highly audited revolutions.
Architecture
Homes, bridges, temples and towers are designed around circles, open shafts and controlled wind. Cities literally breathe and sing.
Culture
Ceremonial rings show profession, clan and public responsibility. Touching another person’s life-ring without permission is a serious breach of etiquette.
